Billed
as a 'concept album' the reason being that it is intended
as a soundtrack to an imaginary film. You can almost see
the titles roll as you listen to the first track 'High
Havoc'.
The film is set in London, England (need I say
more?).
High Havoc has all the ingredients of a blockbuster movie;
falling in love (the Latino flavoured 'Something in
My Eye' and euphoric horn section epic 'Breakfast
in Love'), falling out again (the atmospheric 'One
Born Every Minute'), suspense in the spooky guise
of 'The Frighteners', a high speed car chase (the
fast and furious 'Follow that Arab'), guns n' ammo
('Nobody Move') and a happy ending (the up tempo
'Very Yeah'). Not too sure where 'Clearing up music'
fits into the plot though?
A musical roller coaster ride of various styles and feels.
The only downside is that it is alarmingly difficult to
find in the shops!
